Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 6.1 rollout seemingly resumed

Last week, Samsung started rolling out the update to One UI 6.1 to a lot of devices, including the Galaxy S22 family. Only one day later, the company then halted the rollout for the S22 series due to a bug that caused the lock screen and touchscreen not to work anymore after the update.

Now, almost a week later, the rollout seems to have been resumed, at least in Samsung’s home market of Korea. A new build is now rolling out according to a tipster over on X.

Hopefully everything goes better this time, and no other show stopping bugs are found with this one. If so, then expect it to spread across the world pretty quickly.

The Galaxy S22 family is getting the Galaxy AI features that debuted with the Galaxy S24 series this January, with Samsung’s stated goal being to have Galaxy AI available on over 100 million devices by the end of this year.
