On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Kunsthalle Montez in Frankfurt-directly on the Main, turns back into a colorful technology festival for the whole family. From 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. there are robots, drones, flashing games and 3D printing to touch-a day full of experiments and ideas and an anniversary for the community that has been around since 2015.
Welcome to Tiago ++
Already at the entrance greets you Tiago++a talking service robot from the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. It shows how robots can interact with people today – a foretaste of the whole day.
In the morning: build yourself
From 10 a.m. it means: screwing, tinkering and trying out. The weirdest and funniest ideas are often created here – and that is exactly what is wanted.
In the workshop with Michael Ibsen you can share old or one Robot kit Assemble your own bot. You can also bring your own toys and make it fit with others for the Robo-Sumo! With the Variobots Learn children from the age of 8 in a playful way how robots move – without programming.

Tour: Discover technology
On a tour of the three halls you will find a lot of art on the walls. In between, exciting hands-on stations are waiting:
Turn a drone – or bring your own. Come on the big drone group picture. Test flashing LED games. Look at how a 3D printer builds objects layer by layer.
The atmosphere is relaxed and lively – families, students and craft fans come together here.
Highlight: Robo-Sumo Hebocon at 6 p.m.
In the evening the big robot-sumo rises, also **Hebocon** ⁴ called – a competition in which self -made robots compete against each other. But this is not about high-tech, but about fun:

Every robot can participate as long as it moves. Max. 50 × 50 cm tall, heavy under 1 kg. No weapons – it remains family -friendly.
Some bots roll elegantly into the ring, others stumble out immediately – and that is exactly what makes the laughs in the audience.
