Martha Stewart is showcasing her effortlessly perfect technique for getting the best flavors onto a spoonful of soufflé.
The lifestyle mogul, 84, took to her Instagram story on Wednesday, Oct. 9, to share a video while out to dinner at the Polo Lounge inside The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. In the clip, Stewart gives a step-by-step instruction on how to eat the chocolate soufflé, which comes with vanilla sauce and whipped cream, according to the venue’s menu.

“We did this once before, but I think we need another lesson,” said Stewart, as she skillfully created a small hole in the middle of the soufflé, resting on top of a wide-rimmed mug, and slowly poured the vanilla cream into the crevice. “It’s like a crème anglaise,” she added, before adding “a dollop or two” of whipped cream on top of the cream.
She shaped the cream a bit before looking to the camera and noting, “All of that is right down the middle of chocolate,” and then continued to gush over the detail on the dessert, highlighting an even sugar crust around its top edge.
Stewart ended the video by pointing out just one more time, “This is a really beautiful soufflé.”

It seems like the multi-hyphenated entrepreneur has been enjoying her time out and in, and reflecting on the things she loves the most — including her grandchildren, Jude, 14, and Truman, 13.
Recently, the proud grandma shared a throwback photo of the two when they were four and five years old, respectively, from her since-shuttered New York City headquarters.
The caption of the three images reads, “When my daughter Alexis decided to host their birthdays- march 6 and 8- at my corporate headquarters in the storied Starrett building in New York City She located inflatable planets and invited their (classmates) to a solar system party!years later – the kids are now 13 and 14.”
Stewart also notes in the caption that the images were used in Chanel’s Spring Summer 2026 fashion show, which had a celestial theme.
Jude and Truman are the children of Stewart’s only daughter Alexis Stewart and her ex-husband, Andrew Stewart.
