Back in September of last year, Xiaomi launched the 17 Pro and the 17 Pro Max which both feature a rear screen. The Xiaomi 17 Pro’s rear display is a 2.7-inch panel.
This, however, is now rumored to grow in its successor, the Xiaomi 18 Pro. According to a leaker on Weibo, this device’s rear screen will measure a whopping 4 inches diagonally.

Not just that, but it will be a higher-brightness panel than the Xiaomi 17 Pro’s, and will be higher-resolution too, leading to a higher pixels-per-inch number. The rear screen will have large rounded corners, and there’s also talk about “privacy protection” a la the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, but we assume this will be a feature for the Xiaomi 18 Pro’s main screen.
The Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro, and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are expected to be unveiled in September. The Pro models will probably be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro SoC, while the vanilla model might get the non-Pro Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
