Instagram is rolling out one of its most requested features: the ability to manually reorder posts on your profile grid. Here’s how to do it.
Grid rearranging, finally rolling out
Last March, Instagram added a long-requested option that lets users reorder images and videos in a carousel after publishing.
Now, the app is expanding that control to the profile itself, with a new option that lets users manually reorder posts on their grid.
The feature, which had been in testing for a while, lets users tap any photo from the grid on their profile and select “Reorder grid.”
That opens a new window where users can freely drag and rearrange their photos in whatever order they’d like.
Once they’re done, they can simply tap the back chevron in the top-left corner, and the changes will be applied to their actual profile.
Instagram’s Threads account said the feature is “available starting this week,” which means not all users may have access to it yet.
Still, for users who have long asked for this kind of control, it looks like the wait is all but over.
