Paige of BONNIE X CLYDE Launches New Solo Undertaking, GIELLE, With Dance Anthem Co-Produced Alongside John Summit

After a decade as the voice behind the aching dance anthems of BONNIE X CLYDE, Paige Lopynski is stepping into her own.

Her new solo moniker, GIELLE, officially launched today by virtue of her debut single ‘Caught In The Fire,’ a track she wrote, sang and co-produced alongside electronic music superstar John Summit. It’s a big moment for Lopynski, who characterized the release as a definitive inflection point in her career.

“I truly feel like the last 10 years of my life has led up to this moment,” she said.

Despite whatever else might change under the new name, the songwriting instinct that’s carried her to the world’s biggest EDM festival stages remains. On ‘Caught In The Fire,’ she explores the magnetic pull of an undeniable connection through evocative lyrics channeling the emotional voltage of lightning: “You’re lightning in the dark / I feel you worlds apart.”

As the arrangement builds toward its heady drop, Lopynski’s distorted voice contorts and writhes through the mix, mirroring the dizzying sensation of being entirely consumed by someone else. When she sings, “I’m caught in the fire, you’re taking me higher,” her production swells to match that soaring sentiment and form a pulsing latticework with Summit’s anthemic sound.
