Lunar Imaginative and prescient Launches Dance Label With New Single From Afrojack Protégé, Amél

Giancarlo Cordasco, founder and CEO of Lunar Vision Entertainment, has launched a new boutique record label, Lunar Vision Records.

Cordasco spent more than 10 years in the industry before starting the label, including stints as Head of U.S. Operations and Promotion at Armada Music and as a Promotion Manager at RCA Records. That background in release strategy, DSP campaigns and radio promotion shaped his approach to the new venture.

According to Cordasco, the goal is to give independent artists access to major label resources while letting them keep creative control over their work.

“Throughout my career, I’ve watched the impact of well-executed release campaigns and how release strategy has evolved. Now, artists don’t need a traditional label deal to build a successful career,” Cordasco tells EDM.com. “With distribution, release strategy and intentional marketing and promotion, a lot is able to be accomplished.”

The imprint’s first release, a soaring progressive house track called ‘Send It To The Night’ from rising producer Amél, is out now.

“I want Lunar Vision Records to be a place where artists could still have access to the same level of strategy, relationships and support you’d expect from a seasoned label, but with a much lighter, artist-first approach,” Cordasco added. “That’s what made Amél such a natural first signing. He’s at a pivotal point in his career, and we’re excited to help build something meaningful together from the ground up.”

Amél, a Colorado native, got his start in electronic dance music after a trip to Spain sparked his interest in production. His talent eventually caught the ear of Dutch EDM icon Afrojack, who signed him to WALL Recordings in 2023 before bringing him onboard ‘Our Time,’ a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration with Martin Garrix and David Guetta.

“(Lunar Vision Records) is a label that’s focused on carving its own path, and I’m excited to be one of its first artists and see where we can take it together,” Amél said in a statement.

Lunar Vision already has more music lined up, including a collaboration from Blackcode, Mike Demero and Jordan Jade. In the meantime, you can listen to ‘Send It To The Night’ below and find the new single on streaming platforms here.
