MONTREAL/BERLIN, June 2024 – Vention, the company behind the cloud-based Manufacturing Automation Platform (MAP)announces a collaboration with NVIDIA. The goal is to make industrial automation technology accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). In order to advance cloud robotics, AI technologies from NVIDIA and accelerated computing.
The announcement marks a year of joint efforts to use artificial intelligence (AI) to simplify the implementation of industrial automation and robotics projects – from design to operation.
The Vention platform is AI-enabled and is based on a proprietary dataset of several hundred thousand robot cell designs created since the company was founded in 2016. Vention intends to use this unique potential to simplify the user experience in the cloud and edge computing. The collaboration with NVIDIA focuses on using AI to create digital twins significantly faster and more efficiently so that companies can test their projects before investing. Development areas include generative designs for robot cells, co-pilot programming, physics-based simulation and autonomous robots.
Combined with Vention’s modular hardware and plug-and-play motion control technology, the collaboration with NVIDIA will bring cutting-edge AI to the forefront of manufacturing and aims to make industrial automation technology easier for SMEs. Already known for its user-friendly software products and interfaces, Vention aims to continue to offer SMEs solutions that enable them to implement automation faster and more efficiently.
A series of new Vention products resulting from this collaboration are expected to be announced in the third quarter of 2024.
“The Vention ecosystem, together with NVIDIA’s robotics technology and AI expertise, will help drive innovation in the manufacturing industry. Now even the most complex use cases can be implemented by small and medium-sized manufacturers.” – Etienne Lacroix, Founder and CEO of Vention.
“Vention’s cloud-based robotics platform, powered by NVIDIA AI, will enable industrial equipment manufacturers everywhere to seamlessly design, deploy, and operate robot cells, advancing the industry.” – Deepu Talla, vice president of robotics and edge computing at NVIDIA.
