Montreal/Berlin, September 18, 2024 – Vention, the company behind the cloud-based Manufacturing Automation Platform (MAP), is introducing a new AI application at its Demo Day in Berlin today. MachineMotion AI is the first AI-capable automation controller with accelerated computing technology from NVIDIA.
As the heart of the hardware and software ecosystem of Vention MachineMotion AI bridges the gap between traditional programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and modern robot programming environments. The third-generation controller is designed to significantly simplify the design and deployment of robot applications for manufacturing companies of all sizes.
MachineMotion AI is built on the NVIDIA Jetson platform for edge AI and robotics. The controller advances AI-enabled robots with NVIDIA GPU-accelerated path planning and the ability to run 2D/3D perception models trained in synthetic and physical environments.
MachineMotion AI is compatible with leading robot brands (e.g. Universal Robots, FANUC and ABB) and plugs and plays with hundreds of motion devices and sensors – from conveyors and actuators to safety devices, computer vision systems, telepresence cameras and more.
“We are on a journey to democratize industrial automation and are building the most comprehensive industrial automation and robotics company in the process. Today’s announcements solidify Vention’s position as the most intuitive automation and robotics platform while demonstrating the advanced features that professionals in the industry need,” said Etienne Lacroix, Founder and CEO of Vention.
