One sweet Jurassic Park wedding twist left the groom in tears.
A video posted on TikTok by Hannah Stonas Roman captures the exact moment her husband, Albert Roman, realized she secretly changed their wedding processional song. Instead of “Canon in D,” Stonas Roman walked down the aisle to his favorite movie soundtrack, the theme from Jurassic Park.
“I initially walked down to ‘Canon in D’ with both of my parents. When we reached the top of the aisle, I hugged both of them, and they walked the rest of the way alone. Once they reached the end, the song shifted, and I walked down solo to the Jurassic Park theme,” Stonas Roman explains to PEOPLE.

“Our musicians gradually shifted into Jurassic Park from ‘Canon in D’ and I could see the moment he realized the switch. We both were emotional from the time I walked out but I think we both had more tears once the song shifted.”
In the heartfelt video, an emotional Roman looks to his groomsmen, who also noticed the music change, and couldn’t help but smile and tear up.
“His reaction was so pure and special, it made me feel so loved,” Stonas Roman tells PEOPLE of her dinosaur-loving husband, who recognized the song immediately and says he thought, “Wow she knows me so well and she must really love me to play this at her wedding!”
The thoughtful surprise also captured the internet’s heart, as the video now has over 3 million views. Even the official Jurassic World TikTok account commented, writing, “Meant to be ❤️.”
Stonas Roman, who has changed her TikTok bio to “Jurassic Park Bride 🦖,” got the idea from a video on YouTube a few years ago. In the video, another bride surprised her groom with the film score after switching from “Canon in D.”
“I remember my husband saying, ‘That would be so cool, you should do that!’ From that moment, I knew I wanted to surprise him with the same thing at our wedding,” says Stonas Roman. “But to keep it a secret, whenever he brought it up, I’d insist I really just wanted ‘Canon in D’ and shut down the idea of using the Jurassic Park theme altogether! I kept telling him I’d never use a soundtrack in my wedding.”

Thanks to the tight-lipped wedding musicians, who were some of the couple’s close college friends, the song switch-up at their Sept. 21 wedding in Washington was a success.
The newlyweds first met in 2017 and began dating the following year. They watched all of the Jurassic Park movies together early in their relationship at the insistence of Roman, who grew up watching them.
Knowing that Jurassic Park has always held a special place in her husband’s heart made the decision to surprise him an easy one for Stonas Roman.
“I think it was important to me because the bride gets a lot of big moments at a wedding typically and I wanted to give him a moment that’s typically about the bride and make it about both of us,” Stonas Roman says. “It’s also a really beautiful song, if you hadn’t seen the movie before you would have no idea it was about dinosaurs!”
