The company that hosted the event where influencer Dominque Brown reportedly died of an allergic reaction is speaking out for the first time.
BoxLunch, who organized the Los Angeles food event where Brown, 34, died on Dec. 5, said they are “devastated” by the death of their “beloved member” in a statement posted on Instagram on Friday, Dec. 13.
“We are devastated by her sudden and tragic passing. She was a beloved member of the BoxLunch Collective and brought joy to all whose lives she touched,” the company wrote.
“As we’ve shared with the media, the BoxLunch Collective members, and everyone else we have been in contact with, we will do everything possible to support Dominique’s family, her loved ones, the Collective, and our team members during this painful time,” the statement continued.
The company added that the team is being offered grief counseling services, along with those “directly affected by this tragedy.”

BoxLunch also confirmed in the statement that the company is “in the process of conducting an investigation into the tragic circumstances of her passing, which occurred at a BoxLunch event hosted at a venue in Los Angeles.”
“We have not yet received the information we requested from the operators of the event venue to get an accurate and detailed account of the night. As we learn more, we plan to share this information with Dominique’s family,” the company continued.
“While we know that there are no words or actions that will fully heal anyone’s pain, we will do all we can to honor Dominique,” the statement concluded.

Brown, who was known as a Disney theme park enthusiast and collector, died after reportedly experiencing an allergic reaction while attending a holiday food event hosted by BoxLunch at Vibiana earlier this month.
A BoxLunch representative initially told PEOPLE in a statement on Dec. 7 that Brown “suffered a medical emergency” at the event.
“Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time,” the representative added.

Brown ate food after being told by the event staff that it did not contain an ingredient she was allergic to, Yahoo! News and Daily Mail previously reported.
Someone who claimed to know Brown wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that she had “asked if there was peanuts in the food and everyone told her no” and “instantly felt bad” after consuming it.
Brown’s last post on Instagramshared on the day before her death on Dec. 4, was a clip of her visiting a Disney Store.
