Introduction
The Realme 14 series includes the 14x, 14 Pro and 14 Pro+, and they are already available in some regions where they are trying to steal some market share for themselves from the Redmi Note 14 models. Today, we are going to explore the most premium model in the family – the Realme 14 Pro+.
The Realme 14 Pro+ has gotten a complete waterproofing treatment, a larger screen with a higher resolution, a newer Qualcomm chipset, and an improved high-density battery.
The phone is now IP68/IP69-rated for dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810H compliant shock resistance. And the Pear White version has a neat party trick where it can changes its color towards blue when exposed to cool temperatures.
Compared to the Realme 12 Pro+ and 13 Pro+, the 14 Pro+ has a larger 6.83-inch OLED screen with a higher 1272p resolution, 1B colors, 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The phone runs on the newer Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, which is yet another update.
The camera department hasn’t received many upgrades since the Realme 13 Pro+ – you still get a 50MP primary (but built around a new sensor and lens), a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto, and a basic 8MP ultrawide shooter. The 32MP selfie camera now has autofocus with face and eye tracking and it has an extra wide field of view like before. The triple flash system on the back is new and Realme has dubbed it MagicGlow. It gives you control over the white balance and power output to blend in your (human) subjects better with the surrounding light.
The Realme 14 Pro+ brings the first major update in years in the battery department – there is now a 6,000mAh Si/C battery capable of up to 80W fast charging.
The phone also comes with the latest Android 15 with Realme UI 6.

Unboxing the Realme 14 Pro+
The Realme 14 Pro+ ships in one of those signature yellow Realme boxes; it’s just thinner than before. This is because there is no power adapter as part of the retail bundle.
Inside you will find a 12A-rated USB-A-C cable and a dark gray soft protective case.
Realme says any universal USB-PD charger will give you at least 50W, but you may need an 80W SuperVOOC adapter to achieve the maximum charging speed.
The phone has a carefully applied protective film on top of its display. It is thin, but of a premium quality as it is not the smudge magnet we expected it to be; on the contrary – it appears to be quite fingerprint resistant.
