Alix Earle would never judge her boyfriend Braxton Berrios for (almost) ruining her dress during Super Bowl weekend.
The social media influencer, 24, and the Miami Dolphins wide receiver, 29, played a couples version of “We Listen and We Don’t Judge” with PEOPLE at the GQ Bowl red carpet at the Hotel Peter and Paul in New Orleans.
“I feel like everyone here is pretty hectic and chaotic, out and about on the streets at all times, so we listen and we don’t judge,” Earle tells PEOPLE while standing beside her NFL beau.
Next up was Berrios to share his confession.
“We listen and we don’t judge…” he begins.
“I think I might have burned the back of Alix’s dress when I was ironing it earlier,” Berrios admits as a surprised Earle interjects.
Gasping, the Hot Mess podcast host adds, “I knew it! I knew something was wrong!”
The football star playfully reminds her to calm down: “Say it with me — we don’t, we don’t, we listen but we don’t judge.”

Earlier this week, Berrios spoke to PEOPLE again at Media Row where he opened up about his “incredible”relationship with Earle, saying his season-ending knee injury last year helped them grow closer as a couple.
“Truthfully, with the knee injury, it could’ve gone one of two ways and it brought us a lot closer,” he said during the Feb. 5 interview.
“We obviously support each other and I think it means a little bit more when somebody supports you when you need them. This was the time (for that) and the first time in our relationship where I felt like I truly needed (her support) for an extended period of time. She showed up for me then and continues to (today),” Berrios continued.

During the interview, he joked that as he’ll be turning 30 this year, he’s been watching all of his close friends get married.
In November, Earle and Berrios celebrated their first anniversary.
“One year with my Best Friend 🫶🏻,” she wrote over an Instagram video of their sweet moments together.

“To the person who taught me to love whole heartedly .. happy 1 year ❣️,” she wrote in the caption.
Berrios responded with a heartfelt message in her comment section.
“You have become so much more than my best friend and partner. I didn’t know I was capable of this type of love & I feel like I have truly found my other half! I love you,” he wrote. “I love doing life with you ♥️.”
