Garth Brooks, known for his influential music career, was named in a lawsuit filed in October 2024, where a woman, identified as “Jane Roe,” accused him of rape and sexual assault. She claims to have worked as his makeup artist, as well as for his wife, Trisha Yearwood. Brooks denied the allegations, stating in a statement to AND! News at the time, “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars.”

Yearwood did not publicly comment on the situation but posted an Instagram photo on October 7, 2024, of the two performing together with the caption “Love One Another” and comments disabled. This has raised questions about the couple’s current relationship amidst the ongoing legal battle.

Who Is Garth Brooks’ Wife?

Brooks and Yearwood got married in 2005. Like her husband, she is also a talented singer and has collaborated with Brooks on songs such as “Where Your Road Leads” and “In Another’s Eyes.”

Yearwood is Brooks’ second wife; he was previously married to Sandy Mahl from 1986 to 2001. During their marriage, they had three children: Taylor, August, and Allie.

Is Garth Brooks Still Married to Trisha Yearwood?

Brooks and Yearwood are still married and did not have any children together.

The couple performed John Lennon’s “Imagine” at the funeral of the late former President Jimmy Carter on January 9, 2025. They also shared a powerful duet during the Opry 100 Celebration on March 19.

Garth Brooks’ Lawsuit

In the lawsuit, Jane Roe alleged that she was sexually assaulted during a trip to Los Angeles for a Grammy tribute performance, where they traveled alone. According to documents obtained by CNNit was noted,  “Once in Los Angeles at the hotel, Ms. Roe could not believe that Brooks had booked a hotel suite with one bedroom and she did not have a separate room.” It was also reported that once inside the hotel room, Brooks  “appeared in the doorway to the bedroom, completely naked,” which made her feel “trapped in the room alone with Brooks.”

In response, Brooks filed a lawsuit against the accuser, claiming that he was the “victim of a shakedown,” per ABC News. In December 2024, Brooks’s petition to dismiss the lawsuit was denied, per AND! News.
