o3 — Their most advanced model yet, strong in coding, math, science, and visual tasks
o4-mini — Smaller, faster, and remarkably capable in technical domains, at lower cost
For the first time, these models can independently use all #ChatGPT tools—browsing, #Python, image understanding, and generation—unlocking a new class of autonomous workflows.
They don’t just see images—they reason with them. Upload a sketch, diagram, or even a blurry whiteboard, and the model integrates it directly into its problem-solving process.
For developers: both models support parallel tool calling, available in the Responses and Chat Completions APIs. It’s a foundation for the next generation of agentic systems.
