Jennifer Lawrence is getting back to work after having her second baby — and she’s doing it in style!
At the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, May 17, the No Hard Feelings actress, 34, walked her first red carpet since welcoming her second baby with husband Cooke Maroney earlier this year.
The actress stepped out for the premiere of her new horror-comedy film Die, My Love, in which she stars alongside Robert Pattinson. She made a statement in a white strapless gown featuring a pleated bodice and artfully arranged pleated layers. The gown also featured a bustle in the back and a small train.
Lawrence styled her hair in a chic chignon and kept her glam simple and natural, adding a pop of color with a bold red lip. For a striking contrast, she paired her dress with black peep-toe heels.

Lawrence and Pattinson, 39, costar with LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte in Die, My Love. Directed by Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, the movie is adapted from the 2017 novel of the same name by Ariana Harwicz. The film centers on Lawrence as a woman “engulfed by love and madness,” per a logline obtained by Deadline. Pattinson portrays Lawrence’s husband in the movie, while Stanfield portrays her lover.
The Hunger Games alum’s production company, Excellent Cadaver, which also produced her 2022 drama Causeway and 2023 comedy No Hard Feelings, backs Die, My Love alongside Black Label Media. A first-look image from the film, released in November 2024, showed only a blonde Lawrence holding what appears to be a drinking glass up to her mouth.
After welcoming her second baby, a source exclusively told PEOPLE that the X-Men star is settling into life as a family of four with her husband. 40. The couple are also parents to 3-year-old son Cy.
“Jen’s doing well. Being back in that newborn phase with a toddler as well can be overwhelming, but Jen’s (got) such a great attitude. She’s meant to be a mom,” the source shared.
“She’s calm and just goes with the flow,” the insider added. “Cooke’s a great dad too. They are good at balancing it all together.”

Lawrence, who married her husband in October 2019, announced she was expecting her second child with Maroney via a Vogue Instagram post and article in October 2024.
“Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney,” the magazine wrote in the caption of the post, adding that representatives for Lawrence had confirmed the happy news to the outlet.
The following day, a source confirmed the news with PEOPLE, exclusively sharing that Lawrence was “thrilled to be pregnant again.”
“She loves being a mom,” the insider said. “She’s thrilled to be pregnant again. It feels like the perfect timing to her. Her son will 3 when the new baby arrives.”

Throughout her pregnancy, Lawrence showed off her chic maternity style, showcasing her bump in a number of cute outfits. In December, she attended the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala at The Beverly Hills Hotel in California wearing a floor-length black Dior dress with a thin black belt that sat gently below the bust. She paired the look with large, droplet-shaped earrings.
Her glam was kept simple. Lawrence wore a light blush, pink gloss, and black eyeliner. Her hair was kept half up and half down, bringing attention to her wispy bangs.
At the 15th Governors Awards in Los Angeles the month prior, she wore another figure-hugging look, this one a custom brown Bottega Veneta dress. She accessorized her outfit with a gold Bottega Veneta Knot Clutchwhich retailed for $3,736, and gold jewelry by the brand, including a pair of small drop earrings and the fashion house’s small Fin ring, both in yellow gold.
