Austin McBroom is speaking out.
The content creator, who gained notoriety for his ACE Family vlogs on YouTube, broke his silence after his ex-wife Catherine Paiz accused him of cheating during her appearance on Call Her Daddy.
“What’s going on guys. I’m back again, but this time it’s a little different,” began McBroom, 33, in a string of Snapchat videos uploaded on Wednesday, May 28, the night the tell-all interview with Paiz, 34, and host Alex Cooper was released.
“I know a lot of you guys have been waiting for my response to the podcast, and if I’m being honest, I was very close at giving you guys exactly what you wanted,” he said in the nearly two-minute-long clip, adding, “I was getting ready to drop an atomic bomb.”
“You know my little ass ran to Snapchat,” continued McBroom, who then showed his iPhone screen to the camera showing off his camera roll of videos he recorded on the app. “I even went as far as getting dressed up and even buying the pink chair.”

McBroom then played a clip of the recording he filmed of himself of what was seemingly his response video to Paiz’s Call Her Daddy interview, wearing a white buttoned-up shirt and black pants as he walked up to the plush sofa similar to the one on Cooper’s podcast set.
“But I realized that there is nothing in this world — when I say ‘nothing,’ I mean nothing — there is nothing in this world that is worth something affecting my kids,” he said in the video. “When it comes to my kids, I’m going to pick them first every time.”
McBroom and Paiz announced their divorce in January 2024 after seven years of marriage. Together, they share daughters Elle, 9, and Alaïa, 6, and son Steel, 4.
“I realize in order for this s— to stop, the best thing for me to do is not respond,” he said, though never explicitly mentioned Paiz or named the Call Her Daddy podcast. “Because you guys see what’s going on. It would just continue and it would affect my kids, and my kids don’t deserve that.”

McBroom, who was celebrating his eldest daughter Elle’s birthday on the same day the video was released, revealed she called him in the morning before school and asked if he could go to her mom’s house to open all the gifts “together as a family.”
“And obviously, I was unable to do that,” he said toward the end of his thread of videos on Snapchat. “That s— broke my heart. Elle doesn’t deserve it.”
McBroom concluded, “I just want to say that I take full accountability on how we got here today.”
Paiz’s guest appearance on Call Her Daddy marked the first time she spoke out publicly about McBroom’s alleged cheating scandal. She also released a book, Dolores – My Journey Home, on May 11 where she delves deeper into the details.
After the publication’s release, McBroom confirmed on May 12 in a 31-minute video posted to Snapchat Stories that he “stepped out” of his marriage to Paiz.
“Now let’s get into the cheating. When it comes to me stepping out of my marriage I did. I 100 percent stepped out of my marriage,” McBroom admitted in the thread of posts. “It was completely wrong for me to do it. I take full accountability.”
“If I can go back and change it, I would, and I’m sorry for that,” he continued. “I truly am, but when it comes to her acting like she had no idea what was going on, that is a complete lie. Catherine knew what I was dealing with for a very long time.”

In the clips, McBroom alleged he’d felt like he was getting “no affection” from Paiz and had attempted to speak with her about it various times.
“Her exact words, verbatim — on my kids — she said ‘Just don’t make me look dumb. Don’t embarrass me,’ ” he continued in the video. “I don’t know what that means to you guys, but to me it sounds like ‘Go do whatever you need to do because I’m not capable of giving you what you need.’ ”
Meanwhile, Paiz emotionally denied these claims when speaking to Cooper.
“One thing he said that really just was a punch to the gut was, ‘Yes, I cheated and she was OK with it as long as I said you don’t embarrass me,’ ” she recalled while holding back tears in the Call Her Daddy episode. “That is not true. I never ever said that. I would never say that.”
Elsewhere in her interview with Cooper, Paiz went into detail about when and how she allegedly found out about her ex-husband’s cheating scandal that led to their divorce. However, it was hard to pinpoint exactly since there were various instances.
“When it first started, my heart sank. I’m like ‘Oh my gosh,’ ” the mom of three told the Call Her Daddy host of her reaction when she heard the initial infidelity rumors, adding that she didn’t believe them at first since they were together all the time.
Then, Paiz revealed that she knew “for sure three” women who McBroom had allegedly cheated with, but wasn’t confident of the exact number. She claimed, though, that she’d seen headlines that allege he said 20 women, but she doesn’t know if it’s true.
