No one in the electronic dance music scene headlines a festival quite like Calvin Harris, and Austin is about to find out what that feels like.
The chart-topping dance music superstar has headlined enough festivals to fill a Michael Jordan-esque highlight reel, but his booking at the 2026 Coca-Cola Sips & Sounds Music Festival feels like a genuine inflection point for the Austin event. He joins Christina Aguilera atop the bill for its fourth edition, set for March 13-14 against the backdrop of the downtown skyline along the lakefront Auditorium Shores.
Despite what X-Tina told us back in 1999, this genie will certainly be back in the bottle. Calvin Harris is one of the very few EDM artists who can credibly close a major multi-genre festival on name recognition alone, and unless he miraculously headlines ACL, it’ll likely be a while before fans in Austin can experience a set like this again.
Aguilera, whose vocal reputation precedes every room she enters, headlines Sips & Sounds on Friday night before Harris closes the festival on Saturday. Together they anchor a 16-act lineup that also includes Major Lazer Soundsystem, Grouplove, Ravyn Lenae and Foster The People, the lattermost of whom have emerged as unlikely darlings of the electronic music community.
Foster The People frontman Mark Foster and keyboardist Isom Innis traded the band’s indie-pop pulpit for a DJ booth back in February 2025, swapping their sunny festival aesthetic for the laser-swathed walls of an abandoned warehouse in Atlanta, where they delivered one of the year’s most unexpected DJ sets. They’ll ditch the decks in the Live Music Capital of the World, of course, and stick with their tried-and-true full band performance, but who’s complaining? If you don’t want to sing ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ and ‘Sit Next to Me’ under the sun with sparkling lake views, this festival might not be for you.
Meanwhile, Coca-Cola returns with branded activations and local food vendors woven throughout the grounds of Sips & Sounds, along with a commitment to 100% recyclable packaging for all onsite beverages.
