ColorWare now promoting ‘retro’ AirPods Professional 2 and AirPods 4 w/ ANC in basic beige and futuristic matte black

Remember that awesome M4 Mac mini with a custom retro style? ColorWare is back at it again with the retro treatment for AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) and AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation.

ColorWare’s retro collection isn’t just about painted hardware. Like the M4 Mac mini, ColorWare has machined grooves into each AirPods charging case to create faux vents that call back to early Apple computers.

A timeless aesthetic meets modern design. The ColorWare AirPods Retro brings a vintage-inspired finish to the sleek form of today’s most popular earbuds. Subtle machined grooves on the sides add a touch of depth and texture, echoing the craftsmanship of classic tech. It’s a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation, designed for those who appreciate the details.

From the first glance to every use, these AirPods offer something refreshingly different. The retro finish feels both familiar and unexpected, a subtle nod to the past with a style that stands apart. Whether in your pocket or in use, they offer a refined take on customization, giving you something uniquely yours.

The collection now includes limited edition USB-C AirPods Pro 2 ($199, reg. $249) in classic matte beige or ultra-sharp matte black for $499.

While I personally prefer the fit and performance of AirPods Pro 2, I have to admit that the form factor of AirPods 4 with ANC executes the matte black retro look best. ColorWare is selling AirPods 4 with ANC ($168.99, reg. $179.99) in classic matte beige or this awesome matte black for $439.

And yes, I admit that I would repurchase AirPods Pro 2 once again if Apple ever released a version in black… just like I replaced AirPods Pro with AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods Pro 2 with AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C).

In the meantime, ColorWare is doing the much needed work of colorizing AirPods and other Apple products. Check out the Retro AirPods collection here.
