Empyrean Sanctum – the project headed up by Justin Kellerman – is set to release their new record Detachment From Reality on April 18. We’re streaming the new single “Descent” alongside a new video directed by Alex Zarek.
“Descent deals with depression, being stagnant, lacking purpose, and feeling completely broken with a yearning to feel whole again,” said Kellerman of the track. “Many of us have experienced this or are currently. This song is a reminder that you are not alone, and to reach deep within and love yourself.”

Detachment From Reality features drummer Hannes Grossmann (Alkaloid, Triptykon, Eternity’s End, ex-Obscura, ex-Necrophagist) and bassist Alex Weber (Revocation, Exist, ex-Obscura), plus guest appearances from Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry, ex-Meshuggah) and Gabriel Riccio (The Gabriel Construct). Pre-orders for Detachment From Reality are available here.
