FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Frontman IVAN MOODY Suffers Rib and Hand Accidents After Louder Than Life Efficiency

Five Finger Death Punch frontman Ivan Moody is mending up after injuring himself on stage at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Moody shared an update about his condition on his Instagram story (that was transcribed by The PRP) while he was waiting to be seen at the hospital. “After the adrenaline wore off this morning I woke up… and I’ve got a bruise that’s running down from the inside of my armpit down to my knee, and my hand feels like its shattered… look at that,” said Moody in the video, showing off his hand injuries. “So, well see.”

Another Instagram story later showed Moody after having been seen by the doctor, saying that the official diagnosis he received was a fractured rib. “You gotta be fucking kidding me,” he says about the injury while still keeping in good spirits about it. “It’s always something, man. Well, I will say this much, it was worth it.”

Five Finger Death Punch was one of the bands that went on Thursday before remnants of Hurricane Helene caused the festival to cancel Friday’s performances. A fan captured Moody’s fall on video and it doesn’t seem like the vocalist was even doing anything too extreme. In the video, he appears to just be singing and then tries to walk over to the other side of the stage and trips and falls down. While it would have been more metal if he suffered his injuries while trying to crowdsurf or something like that, we’re still glad that his injuries weren’t more severe. He’ll have to be giving that five finger death punch to his enemies with the other hand for the time being.
