Confused about where to start organizing holiday activities for your dance school? 42nd Street Tours coordinates packages of travel for dance schools and families wanting commercial dance and theatre to be a part of their children’s holidays. The company offers tours to locations that are renowned for their performance and dance cultures, such as New York, Los Angeles and, more recently, Nashville. Now, 42nd Street Tours is expanding its services to offer tours for Australian dance studios and families.
“We are so excited to be in a position to offer our services to Australian studios,” says Emilee Anderson, senior manager at 42nd Street Tours. “I am excited to meet new studio owners and discover how we can work together to provide our services to their families and create memorable dance tours for them.” As well as expanding to offer services to Australian studios, 42nd Street Tours is continuing to expand into European locations. “We are actively bringing back our Paris Disneyland tour,” notes Anderson.
In the Hollywood tour, families will be hosted at Universal Studios, where they participate in classes, see shows and can be part of a performance. In the New York tour, families can take classes at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and with the Radio City Rockettes, as well as get involved performing at the Statue of Liberty or Anita’s Way in the heart of Times Square. “The groups that want to perform are hosted for a public performance in each location. The performances are the studio’s choreography, and the performances are attended by the visitors to each of the popular locations,” Anderson explains.
Anderson adds, “42nd Street Tours provides your very own tour representative. The value this person brings to your experience can’t be understated. You’ll have a knowledgeable, dedicated professional there to help with any questions any of your party might have about the city, and their presence will ensure any particular complications with arrangement along the way are handled smoothly and not the responsibility of someone in your party.”
42nd Street Tours can handle the tough logistics for your studio, and bring enjoyment to all involved. “We know your child’s dance tour can mean a family vacation,” says Anderson. “Our itineraries allow the entire family to enjoy a vacation while the dancers get the added bonus of performing and experience a master class workshop.”
Michelle Hillier, studio owner and director of ballet at Triple Threat Dance Academy of Performing Arts, says she has created unique learning and performance experiences through travel worked with 42nd Street Tours. “The tour workshops are outstanding,” she notes. “The dancers are lucky to receive classes with such stellar professionals.”
