Brianne Howey says season 3 of Ginny & Georgia has her on the edge of her seat!
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at the 2025 WWD Style Awards, Howey, who takes on the titular role of Georgia, opened up about the highly anticipated third installment of the coming-of-age dramedy.
Howey, whose previously called season 3 “unhinged,” said she was “doubling down” on her description and “even more so now that we’ve had a little distance.”

“I’m blown away that the writers are still able to show us completely new sides of each character, and that’s what you’re going to see in season three,” she gushed.
“You will see a lot of grit and hustle, but in an entirely new way. Georgia has to dig deeper into a part of herself we haven’t seen yet,” she added. “So, she has to use that grit in all new ways.”
When it comes to Georgia and her daughter Ginny’s (Antonia Gentry) “ever-changing relationship,” the actress also noted that fans will begin to see “new similarities between them as well as enormous differences.”
Viewers saw season 2 of Ginny & Georgia end with a major cliffhanger when Georgia was arrested for the murder of Cynthia Fuller’s (Sabrina Grdevich) husband at her wedding reception. As she’s arrested and taken away by police, her new husband Paul (Scott Porter) and children — Ginny and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) — watch horrified.
While speaking with PEOPLE in January 2023, series creator Sarah Lampert explained that the shocking moment had been carefully planned from the start.

“How we pitched season one and then how we ended our pitch of season two was, ‘Then Georgia’s married to Paul, they’re having their first dance, and she’s arrested for murder,'” she revealed at the time. “So it was always the plan.”
As for what’s to come on the series, Lampert teased that “all of the dominoes have been set up as far back as season one.”
Seasons 1-2 of Ginny & Georgia are now streaming on Netflix.
