Lethal Company: Core Premise
In the game, you are a contracted worker for a firm called ‘The Company’, and your job is to collect scrap from abandoned, industrialized planets to meet your employer’s profit quota. The cash you earn can be used to travel to other planets where the risk-to-reward ratio is high or to upgrade your suits and spaceship.
The planets or moons you travel to have wild nature and contain creatures that prey upon the most vulnerable and lonesome. It is your responsibility to protect your crew, and they are your only hope to explore the extraterrestrial and rummage through their derelict, steel, and concrete underbellies to collect scrap and meet The Company’s quota.
You can use radar to guide your crewmates through the different environments, call out for traps, and use the ship’s terminal to access remotely locked doors. The Company provides useful tools, including lights, shovels, walkie-talkies, stun grenades, and boomboxes, to get the job done. Things can get dangerous in the dark, making it crucial to communicate with your crewmates to carry all the valuables to the ship and try not to leave anyone behind.
