Zephyr Protocol v2.3.0 – Major Update

We are pleased to report the release of Zephyr Protocol v2.3.0, bringing a range of technical improvements and performance enhancements to the network.

Highlights:

New Zephyr CMake package simplifies setup and reduces reliance on environment variables.
Modern Devicetree API using hierarchical macros enables clean and structured hardware access in code.
Overhauled kernel timeout API prepares for future support of 64-bit and absolute timeouts.
New k_heap/sys_heap allocator offers major performance gains over previous memory pools.
Integration with the TF-M (Trusted Firmware-M) PSA-compliant framework enhances security architecture.
Bluetooth LE Host now supports Advertising Extensions for improved wireless functionality.
CMSIS-DSP library is now included and integrated for real-time signal processing tasks.

This release is a strong step forward in stability and performance for Zephyr developers and miners alike.

Zephyr Protocol Network Incident – June 15

On June 15, 2025, the Zephyr Protocol Network experienced a major disruption. The blockchain became desynchronized, resulting in a complete pause in mining operations.

Both the Zephyr Protocol development team and our pool engineers were immediately informed and began working on a resolution. The situation highlighted the importance of robust blockchain infrastructure, and we will continue to monitor for any follow-up issues. Thank you for your patience during the incident.

Ergo Protocol v6.0.0 – Soft-Fork Activation

The Ergo team has released Ergo Protocol Reference Client v6.0.0, introducing support for the long-awaited EIP-50 soft-fork.

Kaspa (KAS) Block Reward Reduction

As part of the Kaspa Tokenomics, Crescendo Hard Fork, and Emission Schedule, the block reward has been reduced once again.

Previous Block Reward: 5.50 KAS
New Block Reward: 5.19 KAS

Karlsen (KLS) Block Reward Reduction

In accordance with the Karlsencoin Tokenomics and Emission Schedule, the Karlsen block reward has been reduced.
