Machine Head are back at it, heralding the arrival of their upcoming studio album
Unatoned, with the music video for the massive new single “Unbound”. Unatoned will arrive on April 25, 2025 via Nuclear Blast X Imperium Recordings and can be pre-ordered here.
Unatoned marks the recording debut of guitarist Reece Scruggs (formerly of Havok), and was produced by Robb Flynn, with Zack Ohren handling engineering duties. Mixing and mastering were overseen by Colin Richardson and Chris Clancy.
The album’s artwork was crafted by Spiros Antoniou (also known as Seth Siro Anton), the vocalist and bassist of Septicflesh, who previously designed the cover for Of Kingdom And Crown.
“Unatoned is a testament to momentum, an album honed to its sharpest edge, forged on creative discipline and the hunger to push forward. It drips with melancholy melodies, yet hammers with bludgeoning riffs, soars with anthemic sing-a-longs of love-lost and sadness, to bellowing power and undeniable confidence,” stated the band.
Machine Head will hit the road across North America in April and May 2025 with Lacuna Coil, In Flames, and Unearth. The trek kicks off on April 5 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, and wraps up at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC on May 10.
