If you’ve ever doubted your abilities as a bassist, Cryptopsy’s (Metal Injection’s Artist Of The Month) Oli Pinard is here to make you feel way worse thanks to his playthrough of “Until There’s Nothing Left”.
Cryptopsy is set to release their new record An Insatiable Violence on June 20. On the title of the new record An Insatiable Violence, vocalist Matt McGachy said it came to him in a dream: “The concept for our new album came to me in a dream. When I woke up, I immediately wrote the title down on my phone. Because, you know, we all have to have our phones with us all the time”.

On the record itself, McGachy added: “As Gomorrah Burns was a stepping stone for our new album. We took what we enjoyed about the last album and focused on expanding it for a live setting. We wanted this album to be more groovy so that people can really latch onto these songs when we play them live.”
Oh, and former Cryptopsy vocalist Mike DiSalvo performs vocals on the track “Embrace the Nihility”, which is pretty cool. Pre-orders for An Insatiable Violence are available here.
Cryptopsy is set to hit the road this September and October with Nile, The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, and Cognitive as support. The tour kicks off on September 12 at Chapel of Bones in Raleigh, NC and wraps up on October 11 at Hi-Fi Annex Indianapolis, IN. Get your tickets here.
