Artful ATL brought 30+ artists to exhibit at Atlanta Contemporary last weekend (Photographs by Isadora Pennington)
The rain let up just in time for the festivities to kick off during Artful ATL, which debuted at Atlanta Contemporary on Saturday, June 7. The concept for this art social was dreamed up by none other than Esohe and George Galbreath. A true curatorial dream team, the Galbreaths are no strangers to art collecting and community events.

Together, the Galbreaths founded Sohé Solutions in 2012. The organization provides essential services to Atlanta artists through financial support, curatorial experiences, mural installations, art exhibits, workshops and more. The Galbreaths were also two of four co-founders of ARTiculate ATLanta, which has presented regular opportunities for emerging artists to get their work seen and for collectors to buy from contemporary local artists for more than a decade.
This year, the Galbreaths dreamed up something big: Artful ATL. This one-day-only extravaganza transformed Atlanta Contemporary into an art-filled party. With four DJs spinning tunes over the course of the evening, complimentary drinks and more than 30 artists on display, the energy at this event was positively electric. So many talented emerging and established artists stood by their displays, ready to explain their works and engage with potential collectors. It was a beautiful night of community and creativity.
