VINCE NEIL’s Airplane Concerned In Deadly Collision, VINCE NEIL Not On Board


Update: TMZ is reporting that Mötley Crüe’s manager Allen Kovac confirms vocalist Vince Neil was not aboard the plane at the time of the crash. Kovac does note that Vince’s girlfriend Rain and her friend Ashley were on board, though they were only injured.

Original story: A plane owned by Mötley Crüe vocalist Vince Neil was involved in a fatal collision with another plane at the Scottsdale Airport in Scottsboro, AZ (per News Channel 5). It is unclear who was on board at the time, though two separate sources are confirming that at least one person has died with four others hospitalized per a statement from Capt. Dave Folio of the Scottsdale Fire Department.

“Today, Scottsdale sadly experienced an aircraft accident at our airport,” said Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky in a statement. “Based on the information provided thus far, it appears at least one person is dead after two jets collided on the runway at Scottsdale Airport.

“The accident happened just before 3 p.m. when a Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing, according to information provided by the Federal Aviation Administration.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) via CBSthe Learjet 35A in question veered off the runway as it arrived at Scottsdale Municipal Airport around 2:45 p.m and crashed into a parked Gulfstream 200 business jet. The Scottsdale Airport is currently closed until further notice.

The Learjet 35A in question’s tail number is N81VN, which is registered to Chromed in Hollywood, Inc. owned by Neil. We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.
