Here are the latest promotions, appointments, and departures, as well as notable awards and accomplishments, from August 2025.
Comings & Goings
Sacramento Ballet executive and artistic director Anthony Krutzkamp has been named artistic director of Louisville Ballet, succeeding co-artistic directors Mikelle Bruzina and Harald Uwe Kern in October.
Peter LeBreton Merz has been named artistic director of Eglevsky Ballet, succeeding Maurice Brandon Curry.
Philip Neal will join Boston Ballet as assistant artistic director at the start of the new season. Assistant artistic director Russell Kaiser will step down after the company’s Nutcracker run concludes in December.
Ballets Jazz Montréal artistic director Alexandra Damiani has additionally been named executive director of the company, as executive director Stéphane Labbé steps down. Labbé will work with the company in an advisory capacity through the fall.
The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts dismissed its entire dance programming team: director of dance programming Jane Raleigh and assistant managers of dance programming Mallory Miller and Malik Burnett. Stephen Nakagawa has been appointed director of dance programming.
Sara Nash has been named interim executive director of Dance/USA, succeeding Kellee Edusei, who departed at the start of August.
Jaclyn Biskup has been named executive director of Center for Performance Research, succeeding Alexandra Rosenberg.
Katie Vasilopoulos has been promoted to director of operations at Nashville Ballet.
Madoka Sugai and WanTing Zhao have joined Boston Ballet as principals, and Francisco Schilereff has joined as a second soloist. SeokJoo Kim and Gearóid Solan have been promoted to second soloist.
Jennifer Hackbarth has joined Milwaukee Ballet as a leading artist, beginning with the new season.

Preethi Ramaprasad received a 2025–26 YoungArts Fellowship, which includes a $30,000 unrestricted grant.
Dominic Moore-Dunson has been named the 2025–2026 Lloyd Richards New Futures Resident Artist at the Wilma Theater, which includes a $50,000 grant.

Madison Brown, Hannah Garner, Kayla Mak, William Okajima, Houston Thomas, and Christian Warner were among the 2025 Princess Grace Award recipients. Honoraria were awarded to Anna Mains, Marco Palomino, Cyrie Topete, and Ogemdi Ude. Keerati Jinakunwiphat, Bridget L. Moore, and Barkha Patel were among the former awardees who received special project grants, and Roderick George was one of the inaugural recipients of the Princess Grace Artist Fellowship, which includes a $10,000 unrestricted grant. Isabella Boylston received the Statue Award.

Carlos Acosta will receive the Outstanding Contribution to British Theatre Award at the UK Theatre Awards 2025 in October.
