Here’s what’s new, how everything works and the offers that are actually worth your time.
Double points on Tesco gift cards this month
For December, Tesco is giving shoppers two Clubcard points for every £1 spent on gift cards in-store.
This applies to third-party cards for places like restaurants, gaming, clothing brands and entertainment.
If you were planning to give someone a gift card for Christmas, it’s an easy way to squeeze a little extra value back for yourself.
It’s also handy for practical reasons like:
topping up a Just Eat or Deliveroo card
grabbing a clothing card for planned school uniform spends
buying Netflix or Spotify gift cards if your household uses them anyway

Bigger ways to earn points if they fit your life
Some of Tesco’s latest offers give you a much larger chunk of points, but they only make sense if you were already planning the spend.
Buy a Vauxhall and get up to £500 in points
If you buy a brand-new Vauxhall car before 28 February 2026, Tesco gives you 50,000 Clubcard points. That’s £500 in Tesco vouchers or around £1,000 with certain reward partners.
It’s only worth it if you genuinely needed a car anyway.
Pod Point EV charging in Tesco car parks
Charge your EV at a Pod Point charger in a Tesco car parkand you’ll earn one point per £1 spent.
You need the Pod Point app and your Clubcard linked to it before you begin a charging session.
For regular EV drivers, this is a steady drip of points all year long.
Points for installing a Pod Drive home charger
If you sign up to Pod Drive for a home chargeryou’ll collect 2,500 Clubcard points once it’s installed.
That’s worth £25 at Tesco or roughly £50 with partners.
Again, this only works if you already wanted home charging.
Everyday services that quietly boost your points
These aren’t headline offers, but they’re the ones most households can use without extra spending.
Euro parcel bookings
When you book a parcel through Evri’s website and enter your Clubcard number at checkout, you get one point per £1 spent.
Just note that Tesco Express shops are phasing out Evri ParcelShop counters, so you may need to drop parcels elsewhere.
Fuel at Tesco and Esso
Fill up at a Tesco petrol station, and you earn one point for every two litres of fuel.
If you use an Esso station with a Tesco Express attached, you get one point per £3 spent on fuel.
Drivers who stick with the same station each week can see this grow nicely over the year.
Waves car wash
Waves gives you one point for every £1 you spend.
If you get one of the pricier washes now and again, your points can build quite fast.
Recycling ink cartridges for points
Tesco works with the Recycling Factory to give you 125 points per ink cartridge.
That’s £1.25 in Tesco value or around £2.50 with a partner.
There’s a limit of 100 cartridges a year, which is plenty for a normal household.
OVO Energy weekly point drops
OVO customers on the Beyond plan can claim 100 points every four weeks until 25 January.
You need the OVO app, a smart meter and direct debit payments. There are limited slots each week, so it’s fastest finger first.
