From 20 July to 1 September, these workshops are available at most of the 450+ Pets at Home stores across the country (find your nearest Pets at Home store).

Each session lasts around 45 minutes and is packed with activities that teach children about Syrian hamsters, their care, and even some creative crafts to enjoy.

What to expect

During the workshop, kids will get hands-on experience and learn all about how to care for Syrian hamsters.

It’s a fantastic way for children to understand what it takes to look after a small pet, covering everything from feeding to creating a cosy home for them.

Not only will they learn valuable information, but they’ll also get to complete a fun activity sheet and, at the end of the session, receive a certificate to take home as a reminder of their new knowledge.

Who can attend?

The sessions are designed for children aged four and older, making it a great option for younger kids as well as older ones.

All materials needed for the activities are provided, so you don’t need to bring anything along.

However, it’s important to note that a parent or guardian must supervise all children throughout the workshop.

It’s a great opportunity for parents to join in and enjoy some quality time with their kids.

How to join in

If you think your child would enjoy this experience, make sure to book online in advance.

Spaces are limited, and these free workshops are expected to be popular.

So, if you’re looking for a fun, free activity that your kids will love, why not sign them up for a ‘My Pet Pals’ workshop?

It’s a great way to fill a summer day with learning, creativity, and some furry fun!
