What is The Forest?
The Forest is an open-source horror game that takes place in a heavily forested area. The main character of this game is Eric LeBlanc, and his main aim is to find his missing son Timmy by fighting against the cannibalistic monsters and other challenges. The game occurs in a heavily forested peninsula, and the player needs to instantly establish a base, find water and food, and also craft weapons and tools to protect themselves from danger. Players did not get any external support for surviving it.
Currently, this game is only available on PlayStation 4 and Windows. The Forest Gameplay
In the Forest Game, the key goal of the player is to find their missed son from the brutal open world environment. For that, the player needs to do all the basic things for survival by himself, such as finding food, collecting sticks, rocks for building shelter, and crafting weapons to protect themselves from the monsters.
To successfully lead in the Game, the player needs to manage their thirst, sleep, and hunger, and also bravely fight against the hostile mutants and other dangers. This game provides a detailed survival guidebook for players, which includes blueprints for structures such as traps, defensive walls, fires, and shelters. Additionally, the players can easily record the discovered wildlife in the Nature Guide section of the Survival Guide Book.
The Forest game can be ended in two different ways, depending on the player’s choice in connection with the artifact: either activating it or shutting it down.
When the player chooses the “activate the artifact” option to end the game, he needs to find a way to sacrifice the life of a plane passenger to save Timmy. On the other side, when he decides to shut down the Artifact to end the game, he needs to save the lives of every passenger, excluding Timmy.
