Black Tiger Sex Machine have announced a rare run of unmasked DJ sets, giving fans a chance to see the group perform without the illuminated helmets that have long defined their live identity.
The eight-date tour begins May 8th at The Ritz Ybor in Tampa before ultimately wrapping September 5th at TIME Nightclub in Costa Mesa, with stops in Jacksonville, Hollywood, San Diego, Denver, Charlotte and San Marcos.
The tour is designed as a counterpoint to BTSM’s larger-scale ‘Connected Fighters’ live show, which the group confirmed will still appear in cities like New York and Dallas, with more dates to be announced. They framed the unmasked shows as more direct and playful: “We get to see your faces and you can see ours.”
BTSM’s usual performances are built around a meticulous sci-fi bass universe, complete with cinematic visual production and the kind of theatrical intensity that helped cultivate their devoted “Church” fanbase. These DJ sets appear aimed at a different kind of connection, bringing the group closer to their crowd while loosening the boundaries of what they might play.
According to BTSM, fans can expect a blend of genres from techno to dubstep. That range makes the tour especially compelling for longtime fans, offering a chance to hear them move beyond the expectations of their full live show while still leaning into the heavy, dark energy at the center of their sound.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, May 6 at 2pm ET at btsmtour.com.
