House music is hereditary for Claude VonStroke, whose new single, ‘Two Line Groove,’ features vocals from his two children.
The Dirtybird founder proves his nest is full of rhythm by enlisting his children, Jasper, 19, and Ella, 18, as collaborators. The house track hums with a deep, palpitating bassline as those youthful vocal chops act as rhythmic anchors, tethering VonStroke’s trademark eccentricity to a palpable, beating heart.

Apparently the purest grooves often start at the kitchen table, and end up in new albums. ‘Two Line Groove’ will appear on Wrong Number, VonStroke’s first full-length album since 2020’s Freaks & Beaks.
He briefly pivoted to focus on releasing bass music under his real name, Barclay Crenshaw, dropping an album in March 2024 before reviving the VonStroke alias a year later for a North American tour and a pair of EPs, I Was the Wolf and Noche Clara.
The comeback will crystallize by virtue of the hotly anticipated Wrong Number LP, due out May 22nd. Crenshaw recently opened up about the album in an intimate interview with EDM.com, characterizing it as a full-blown family affair.
“There are no other guests on the album, so it is really a family affair,” he told us. “They’re so good now that I’m almost learning from them. They think of chord progressions and things that I would never think of, and they surprise me all the time.”
