Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt is sharing new details about her latest children’s milestones.

While speaking exclusively with PEOPLE, the bestselling author, 35, who’s partnering with Hyland’s to ensure all of her children are ready for the back-to-school season, says she believes her baby son, Ford, is getting his baby teeth much faster than his siblings did.

“He seems to be getting his teeth much faster,” says Schwarzenegger Pratt, who welcomed her son with husband Chris Pratt in November 2024. “He’s moving and grooving. He’s crawling, trying to keep up with his sisters.”

“He’s having teeth that are on a crazy teething tear right now,” she adds. “It makes for a lot of emotions and just exciting times. But he’s definitely the coolest, happiest baby ever, so I’m really, really grateful.”

The doting mom described her 10-month-old son as a “ball of joy,” adding that he has “this insane impact on people when they walk into the room.”

“His reaction on his face is like they are the number one most exciting thing that has happened to him that day,” she says. “Anyone he can look at, everything he can look at, he’s obsessed with watching his older sisters, which is really sweet, and they love brushing his hair.”

In addition to Ford, Schwarzenegger Pratt is also a mother to daughters Eloise, 3, and Lyla, 5, and stepson Jack, 13. The mom of four tells PEOPLE that her children, especially her daughters, “love playing with him,” adding it feels similar to her family dynamic.

“They love playing with him and they love having him now at meal time with them,” she says. “It’s really sweet to be able to watch their interactions as siblings and just to see how much his two big sisters love him and dote on him.”

She adds, “It feels very familiar to me with the birth order being so similar to me and my family with my brother.”

As for what she’s looking forward to most this school year, the proud mom and philanthropist says she ultimately wants to stay present in the moment as her children are growing fast and developing new interests.

“My oldest daughter, Lyla, is writing, and she’s really interested in books, and my younger daughter is starting preschool, and she’s really interested in reading and animals,” she shares. “And then I have my baby Ford, and he’s just growing so fast and has been such an amazing addition to our family.”

She adds, “We are going to be in a totally new routine with drop-offs and different schools and people going to school and starting school, so I’m really looking forward to just seeing what that is going to be like and getting into a new routine.”
