RedMagic announced its next entry into mobile gaming, looking to define what it means to have a phone that’s strong enough for today’s graphics and performance.
Expectations are high if you’re a gamer looking for a new phone, so RedMagic announced its 11S Pro series (11S Pro, 11S Pro Plus) overseas in China for those consumers. What catches your eye first is the 11S Pro’s 6.8-inch BOE X10 AMOLED screen with a reported 95% screen-to-body ratio. RedMagic also implemented extremely thin bezels, measuring 1.25mm. What’s more, the 11S Pro’s display is free from a camera notch or punch-hole.
As a result, consumers will have a 16MP UDC (under-display camera). To keep your gaming smooth, RedMagic highlights its maximum 144Hz refresh rate for the display, assisted by its 1.5K resolution support. If you’re gaming, you want power and a smooth experience. The press release states the RedMagic 11S Pro comes equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and the company’s RedCore R4 gaming chip.

Its Energy Cube 3.0 software is also included. RedMagic states this powerful trio “delivers sustained high-frame-rate performance for demanding mobile gaming and cross-platform gameplay.” That’s not all, as RedMagic is advancing the cooling system for the 11S Pro that feels true to gaming on a strong rig.

It might be crazy to think a smartphone features cooling fans, but the RedMagic 11S Pro series certainly has them. Beyond that, the company equipped this gaming machine with next-gen liquid cooling. The post states the phone features an upgraded version of RedMagic’s AquaCore Cooling System. Not only is there a TurboFan, but there’s also a 4D Vapor Chamber architecture, and Composite Liquid Metal 3.0 tech.
As far as the AquareCore Cooling system is concerned, consumers will find that its unique multi-layered structure encourages “rapid heat transfer from core sources.” In short, this ensures its FPS remains consistent, and users don’t suffer from poor performance due to its heat build-up.

RedMagic’s mantra is “win more games,” and it’s certainly trying to continue that by incorporating its MagicTouch 4.0 algorithm. This brings about a Synaptics touch solution, capable of taking the “instantaneous touch sampling rate” up to 3,000Hz, and the multi-finger rate up to 360Hz. The independent IC shoulder triggers (520Hz) help to make sure that gamers can remain competitive with no input lag in FPS and MOBAs. The 11S Pro series includes Moira AI, which helps by delivering Tactical Coaching, interactive assistance, and streamlined in-game socials.
The battery is where we see the 11S Pro series split. RedMagic states the 11S Pro features an 8,000mAh dual-cell battery with 80W fast charging. The 11S Pro Plus offers a 7,500mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 80W wireless charging.
So far, RedMagic’s newest series has become the go-to for CrossFire Mobile League, Arena Breakout Masters, and the Call of Duty: Mobile Masters competitions. The RedMagic 11S Pro is available in China in matte black and matte white for 5,499 RMB (~$808, 12/256GB). The 11S Pro Plus takes things up a notch, bringing Nightfreeze (black transparent) and Subzero (silver transparent) options. This phone is available in 12/256GB, 16/512GB, and 16/1TB options for 6,199 RMB (~$911), 6,999 RMB (~$1,029), and 7,999 RMB (~$1,176), respectively.
An announcement for when this series will arrive globally is set for May 27.

I’ve never been more tempted to get a phone like before. I game on my phone. The same games that I play on my phone, I can play on my PC. The level of power that RedMagic says it’s equipped the 11S Pro series with is insane to me. On the surface, it sounds like a mini PC. It’s got liquid cooling, a decent fan, and a pretty strong current-gen chip. I do wonder just how far I could push this phone, though. Could I max out my graphics in Wuthering Waves because that game is gorgeous, but incredibly strenuous for a phone (even certain PCs).
