fischertechnik sets another milestone in technical education. The new STEM Coding Ultimate AI learning concept makes it possible for the first time to train a neural network yourself and understand how it works from the ground up. fischertechnik is teaching young people the programming and AI skills of the future – directly in the classroom and without a cloud connection.
The STEM Coding Ultimate AI construction kit is aimed at secondary schools and teaches the basics of machine learning and AI-supported robotics in an action-oriented manner. Using twelve versatile, partly expandable models, upper secondary school students deal with central issues in information technology and artificial intelligence. Based on realistic scenarios, they independently develop solutions for complex, problem-oriented tasks. A powerful controller, modern sensors and actuators, a user-friendly app and the proven fischertechnik components enable practical access to advanced technologies.

The first training steps can be immediately displayed graphically so that learners can track the progress. The trained data can then be transmitted via Bluetooth or via a WLAN or USB connection to robots, which make what they have learned visible in real applications – for example based on the principle of an autonomous vehicle. This makes abstract knowledge tangible, and theory becomes tangible practice.
Teachers get an easy introduction to the topic using didactic accompanying material.
This approach is particularly valuable because it promotes so-called future skills such as project-oriented work and the ability to work in a team, which are indispensable in an increasingly digitalized working world. Dealing with artificial intelligence, understanding neural networks and the ability to independently collect, analyze and make data usable are among the key skills of the next generation. Students not only learn the technical basics, but also develop a deep understanding of how AI makes decisions. You will acquire basic knowledge of neural networks and AI programming – knowledge that has significance far beyond the school context. In addition, the students expand their knowledge of computer science and robotics and learn to understand how actuators and sensors work.

The integration of Robo Pro Coding and the fischertechnik STEM Suite enables a gentle introduction to Blockly programming and at the same time direct insight into professional programming languages such as Python. The new modular system works locally on the TXT 4.0 controller – without any cloud. This provides schools with a future-proof tool that can be used for years to come.
“In keeping with our motto: where curiosity becomes knowledge, with our learning concept STEM Coding Ultimate AI we create the opportunity for students not only to consume artificial intelligence, but also to actively shape and understand it,” explains Martin Rogler, Managing Director of fischertechnik. “Those who learn the basics of AI early on will have a decisive advantage in their studies, career and society tomorrow.”

The year 2025 also marks a special anniversary: 60 years of fischertechnik. For six decades, the company has inspired generations of inventors, engineers and researchers to discover and understand technology in a playful way. As the successor to the TXT Base Set, the new STEM Coding Ultimate AI building set builds on this tradition and takes it into the future – with an innovation that combines the fascination of classic building sets with the technologies of tomorrow. In the spirit of sustainability, STEM Coding Ultimate AI also remains compatible with all available TXT 4.0 Base Set add-ons for Omniwheels, Industrial Robots, AI, IoT, Competition and Autonomous Driving.
With this step, fischertechnik is making a decisive contribution to promoting creativity and problem-solving skills as well as understanding future technologies. The result is a product that not only meets current educational needs, but also carries on the spirit of the brand for 60 years: technology that you can touch, understand and create.
