THE ACACIA STRAIN’s New Single “Swamp Mentality” Is Vicious

The Acacia Strain will return this fall with their new album You Are Safe From God Here, due out October 24 via Rise Records. The band is now streaming their new single “Swamp Mentality” alongside a pretty funny music video. The music, however, is anything but funny. It’s gonna fuck your day up big time.

“The swamp is a place of rot, death, and decay; but it is also ripe with life and regeneration,” The Acacia Strain said of the single. “You are safe from God in the points of darkness and decomposition. Seek your sanctuary. No one leaves the swamp.”

The Acacia Strain are also capping off 2025 in true heavy fashion with the return of their annual holiday event, Tune Low Die Slow Ho Ho. The two-day metallic celebration takes place December 13 and 14 at Empire Live in Albany, New York.

The lineup is stacked with some of extreme music’s heaviest hitters. The Acacia Strain will headline both nights, delivering a “one-two punch to the throat” ahead of their new album You Are Safe From God Here.

The Acacia Strain frontman Vincent Bennett summed up the band’s approach with typical bluntness: “Merry TASMAS, Round Two. Everyone has an Xmas festival now. Guess what? Next year, we are doing Thanksgiving. Come pit and be merry!”
