A recent leak claimed that vivo is preparing to launch the S2 to India as the successor to the vivo S1, which debuted in 2019. New leaks have now revealed the phone’s launch date, first sale date, design, and key specs.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav has claimed on X that the vivo S2 will launch in India on August 6, with sales expected to begin on August 11.
The handset is tipped to be available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations and in Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue, and Silk White shades.
Meanwhile, another leak has revealed the phone’s design, which appears similar to the Vivo X300 FE. It is seen with a pill-shaped horizontal rear camera module and in three colors.

The leaked promotional material also shows that the phone will get a curved display and a 50MP main rear camera.
Reports of the vivo S series returning to India first surfaced in May, suggesting that the vivo S2 would arrive as a mid-range offering priced between INR 45,000 and INR 50,000.
A recent leak also claimed that the vivo S2 will come with a 6.59-inch OLED display, a 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 7,000mAh battery.
vivo is expected to begin teasing the new S series smartphone in the coming days.
