CHICAGO, June 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Vention, the leading digital platform for industrial automation, and Teradyne Robotics today announced a strategic collaboration at Automate 2026 to further accelerate the implementation of modular automation solutions.
While many automation solutions are still characterized by separate hardware and software worlds, collaboration creates a consistent solution for planning, simulation and implementation of automation projects. By leveraging Vention’s proven technology, Teradyne Robotics customers gain access to a ready-to-use digital development environment. This allows ranges, layouts and modular machine structures to be realistically validated before construction.
“This collaboration underscores our belief that robotics must become faster, simpler and more scalable for manufacturers of all sizes,” said Étienne Lacroix, Chief Executive Officer of Vention. “By combining our expertise in digital twins with the capabilities of Universal Robots, we are creating a new approach to the development of modular robot cells. This shortens the path to value creation while providing the flexibility that modern production environments require.”
“The real breakthrough for our customers is making the path from initial idea to production-ready solution much more secure,” says Justin Brown, Chief Commercial Officer of Teradyne Robotics. “The collaboration enables us to provide realistic simulations that precisely reflect the actual movement behavior of the robots. This reduces iteration loops, accelerates validation and shortens the path from planning to commissioning.”
The next level of digital automation planning
Building on a successful collaboration lasting several years, this new phase goes well beyond pure hardware compatibility. The goal is a deeply integrated digital user experience that is specifically tailored to the needs of users of collaborative robotics.
Development environment optimized for Universal Robots: A specially developed user interface within the Vention platform contains the technical specifications and performance data of the entire UR Cobot family. This allows users to ensure that their concepts are technically feasible right from the start. Exclusive automation marketplace: Users gain access to Vention’s ecosystem of Universal Robots validated UR+ components – from gripper systems to linear and traversing axes. More options for customers and sales teams: Universal Robots teams can provide their customers with realistic 3D simulations in minutes. This simplifies collaboration in the concept phase and significantly shortens the path to the proof of concept. Library of validated application templates: The platform includes a range of pre-configured automation templates for high-demand applications, including end-of-line solutions, machine tending, pick-and-place applications and overhead linear axis systems. All templates have been specifically optimized for use with UR cobots.
At launch, the solution will be rolled out in North America and Europe. Universal Robots customers receive an integrated automation platform that combines robot selection, planning with digital twins, control technology and modular machine infrastructure in a consistent workflow.
